Hunting safety and inspiring others with disabilities is just part of what avid hunter Josh Carney does.
Carney lost the use of both of his legs in a hunting accident as a young teenager.
Now that he goes on nationwide speaking tours, he says he hears a lot of stories from others he’s uplifted.
“I definitely have people come and tell me that ‘because of you I didn’t give up. You inspired me to do something.’ They’d send me these crazy amazing success stories and photos, and that’s is what I do this for. It’s fun hunting and traveling and things like that. That’s a much greater reward than all of the other things that come with this.”
Carney visited Nichols Store in Rock Hill Saturday.
Besides hunting and public speaking, Carney says he can mimic about 60 different animal sounds.
