Comporium, Winthrop university and the City of Rock Hill launched a new initiative Tuesday morning. 25 bikes were unveiled and 5 hubs for those bikes announced, which provides students and community members an easier way of transportation to and from the Downtown area.
For the first 2 hours the bikes are free and for every hour afterwards they will cost 6 dollars. Matt Dosch COO at Comporium said in order to use the bikes you will need to download The Social Bicycles App.
Dosch said Comporium has had a front row seat to see what is coming in Downtown Rock Hill. Rock Hill Mayor John Gettys called that statement incredibly modest.
One bike hub is in Fountain Park, a second at the intersection of Main Street and Dave Lyle…a third at Legal Remedy and 2 more will be placed on the campus of Winthrop University.
