Earlier this year Van Wyck voted to make themselves a town and tomorrow they will elect a new Mayor and 4 new town Councilmen. Charlotte attorney Sean Corcoran is the lone candidate for Mayor.
The 9 council candidates included William Acree, Kelly Bishop, Terri Currie, Bob Doster, Troy Elmore, Xavier Kee, Pat Oglesby, Richard Vaughan and Cassaundra Watkins and only 4 will be elected.
About 280 voters live inside the town limits and will be allowed to vote in the election.
