York Intermediate School, York Middle School and Jefferson Elementary School were placed on lockdown yesterday afternoon for nearly an hour after a false report of a weapon on campus.
Students had been dismissed for the day, but 119 students and staff were in the building for after school activities. The lockdown ended after York police officers and York County Deputies found no gun inside the school.
The 911 call was made from a cell phone. Police are still working to determine who made the call.
