A serious rush hour crash involving three vehicles shut down the intersection at Heckle Boulevard and Crawford Road around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon. Three vehicles, two cars and a pickup were involved. Six people were transported, and one was flown by helicopter to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, according to Rock Hill Police Department spokesman Capt. Mark Bollinger. Their conditions were unknown as of Wednesday evening. Bollinger said the S.C. Highway Patrol was assisting in the investigation. Motorists were urged to avoid Heckle Boulevard and Crawford Road, and traffic leading up to the intersection was diverted.
