According to a report an Oakridge Middle School student was charged on Monday after making threats to kill two classmates. The boy’s name and age have not been released and he is being charged as a juvenile in South Carolina Family Court.
The threats were made both verbally and through text message, which scared some of the students at the school who then told school officials about the threat. The boy told deputies the statement was meant as a joke.
A conviction can carry up to a year in jail.
