A man driving a burgundy SUV in the 700 block of Patriot Parkway Tuesday afternoon after 4 p.m. attempted to abduct two girls according to Rock Hill Police. The girls told an adult that the man was circling the area after they got off the school bus.
As the juveniles were walking on Patriot Parkway, the man exited his vehicle and grabbed one of the girls by the book bag. The man then asked the girls to go to a park. The girls were able to get away once the man let go of the book bag.
They ran to the complainant’s address to report the incident. Officers spoke to the girls who gave the details of the incident according to Lt. Michael Chavis of the Rock Hill Police Department.
Detectives and patrol officers canvassed the area but have not yet identified the suspect. The Rock Hill Police Department Criminal Investigations Division in currently investigating the incident and is asking for the public’s assistance.
