The York County Coroner’s office has identified the victim in Tuesday’s shooing investigation at the intersection of Eastview Road and Adnah Church Road as 23 year old Mardarius Bailey. He was a resident of Lancaster.
York County Detectives arrested Tyler Wayne Montgomery, 19, in connection with yesterday’s homicide investigation off Adnah Church Road in Rock Hill.
Detectives are still investigating information about a second suspect possibly involved in that shooting. Tuesday at 4:45 PM, YCSO Deputies were called to the intersection of Highway 5 and Adnah Church Road after a South Carolina Highway Patrol discovered 23-year-old victim in need of a medical assistance from an apparent gunshot wound.
Immediately, Deputies began searching for two possible suspects from witnesses accounts. The Sheriff’s K-9 Unit and State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Helicopter assisted in the search.
The York County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the victim once all next of kin have been notified. Montgomery is being held at the York County Detention Center.
