At approximately 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, the York County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call (from a witness) regarding an incident at the corner of Adnah Church Road and Highway 5 between Rock Hill and York.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol was the first to arrive on the scene and immediately began life saving efforts after finding a gunshot victim. According to York County Sheriff, Kevin Tolson, the 23 year old victim did not survive.
Authorities are currently searching for two persons of interest in the case who ran from the scene of a fatal shooting. The Sheriff described the persons as two younger white males, one taller with taller hair, who is wearing a red hoodie and a black toboggan.
The other person of interest was shorter with short hair and is wearing a blue shirt.
According to Tolson, the crime actually occurred at a different location, which was described as “further down Adnah Church Road”. Tolson also said the witness drove the victim to the Highway 5/Adnah Church intersection.
Tolson also stated the persons of interest should be considered armed and dangerous. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division helicopter is assisting in the search.
