Keystone Substance Abuse Services Executive Director Janet Martini will retire from the agency by September this year, Keystone Board Chair Kevin announced yesterday. He said the board aims to name a new executive director before Martini departs to ensure a smooth transition. Martini has served Keystone 23 years; first in a staff role for three years after graduate school at Clemson University and then returning in 1998 as treatment director and then executive director. During her tenure, Keystone nearly tripled its operating budget, doubled staff to more than 90, and grew from one location to three sites today to impact over 62,000 last year through the agency’s prevention/education, community outreach, outpatient and inpatient programs.
