Winthrop University’s Head Basketball Coach Pat Kelsey has been linked in rumors for the same vacant position at Xavier University. Xavier’s former coach Chris Mack left for the University of Louisville on Tuesday.
Kelsey was both a team co-captain at Xavier as a student-athlete and an assistant coach at the school for almost 4 years. When asked about the open position at Xavier on the Dave Glenn show yesterday he instead chose to talk about his current job.
Kelsey said it is his policy not to discuss any other coaching positions, but instead to keep those discussions between him and his family.
