With Hurricane Matthew bearing in York County is doing everything they can to help out the state. Chuck Haynes, Director of York County’s Office of Emergency Management said that York County Hotels are ‘mostly full’
Haynes said that there are not currently any shelters in York County housing evacuees, but there are locations on standby if they are needed.
He is pleased with how Governor Haley and the state have handled the situation and is glad Rock Hill and York County have been able to provide a safe place for people to stay.
