According to a York County’s Sheriff’s Office report eight teenagers have been charged with underage drinking after deputies responded to a noise violation at a home off Tenacity Court near Rock Hill.
Deputies were tipped off because of the loud music coming from the home, where there were a loud crowd of juveniles in the backyard. As deputies approached, the teenagers ran into the woods, the report says.
Deputies stopped about 20 of them from leaving the scene. The teenagers ranged from 17 to nineteen and either had alcohol on them or had consumed it.
Seven of the teenagers were cited for minor in possession of beer. The home’s resident was cited for minor in possession of beer and violation of the county noise ordinance.
