For the second consecutive day COVID-19 related deaths in South Carolina were the lowest they have been since the middle of July. 8 deaths were reported on Sunday and 7 deaths were confirmed by SC-DHEC, Monday afternoon. 0 deaths were announced on July 15th.
SC-DHEC also announced 543 new coronavirus cases. York County had 27 cases, Lancaster County had 17 and Chester County had 4. 4,090 people were tested for the virus on Sunday and 13.3% tested positive.
979 patients are hospitalized, due to the coronavirus, which is 12.82% of inpatients. 248 patients are in the ICU and 148 are on ventilators.
