Coronavirus numbers trended upwards, Thursday afternoon, as SC-DHEC announced 896 new cases. While the number is is higher than most of this week, the total number of cases has remained below 1,000 since August 8th.
24 cases were from York County, 30 were from Lancaster County and 13 were from Chester County. 5,877 people were tested for the virus on Wednesday and 15.2% tested positive.
42 additional confirmed deaths were also announced. The death total is now 2,289.
