SC-DHEC is reporting an additional COVID-19 related death in York County on Tuesday, bringing their total to 4. The death is one of 13 total. 12 of the deaths occurred in elderly individuals from Beaufort (1), Berkeley (3), Charleston (1), Richland (5), Williamsburg (1) and York (1) Counties. One death occurred in a middle-aged individual in Florence (1) County. The death total is now 296.
SC-DHEC is also reporting 93 additional cases, bringing the state total to 6,841. Of the new cases 2 are from York County and 1 is from Lancaster County. York County now has 219 cases and Lancaster County has 96 cases. Chester County had no new cases and their total remains at 35.
