According to a report, the Stanley Black and Decker site in Fort Mill has been purchased by a New York City investment firm. The sale took place at the end of December and was 56.4 million dollars.
The report says B&D Distribution owned the site that previously belonged to the Catawba Indian Nation and sold for 20 and a half million dollars back in 1995.
The company announced over two years ago that they would be opening a new 345-thousand square foot facility in Fort Mill adding 500 new jobs
