After 47 years of service Frank Moe Bell, CEO of the Upper Palmetto YMCA will be stepping down next year. During hiss 44 years at the Upper Palmetto YMCA they grew from 2 branches to 15 and they went from 3,000 to 46,000.
Bell graduated from Winthrop University in 1973 and in his first 3 years he managed sports leagues in North Wilkesboro. He returned to the YMCA in 1976 and has been CEO since 1991.
Bell will be stepping down on July 4th, 2020. A search committee has been appointed to find and recommend his replacement and they plan to have his successor in place by Spring of next year.
