The Rock Hill teen who shot a puppy 18 times with a BB gun in February, in what was described in court as torture, was sentenced to 18 months probation. 18 year old De’Monte Ty’Juan Douglas pleaded guilty yesterday to felony ill treatment of an animal.
The puppy, later named Brody by Ebenezer Animal Hospital employees who saved it, had 18 BBs in its muscle and skin that could not be removed and had to work their way out of the dog’s body over time, prosecutors said.
