Authorities said they have arrested one man who took a 27-year-old woman to the place where she was kidnapped and later killed and a second man for disposing of evidence in the case.
Laurens County Capt. Robert Wilkie says deputies are still looking for a third person involved in the shooting death of Michelle Dodge, of York, last month.
Laurens County Chief Deputy Coroner Vickie Cheek said Dodge was found shot in the back of the head in woods near Laurens. Wilkie told The Greenwood Index-Journal that 34-year-old Brandon Phillips is charged with accessory before the fact to a felony and brought Dodge to where she was kidnapped.
Wilkie says 53-year-old Billy Ruppe is charged with accessory after the fact to a felony and got rid of evidence after the crime. Wilkie didn’t give the name or charges against the third person.
