At their school board meeting earlier this week the District of Clover approved moving forward with impact fees of $15,000 on single family homes, $7,400 for multifamily units and almost 10 thousand dollars on mobile homes. The original estimate had been $12,500 on single family homes and $6,500 on apartments, but the fees were increased because of new numbers from the consultant. The board approved an increase in those fees because of the mass amounts of growth they have seen, which they expect will result in new schools and capital improvements. Superintendent Dr. Sheila Quinn came before County Council two weeks ago asking for the County to consider their proposal. Clover has used the same fee consultant that Fort Mill did when they raised impact fees last year.
