As of Tuesday morning, Comporium had restored service to nearly all 19,000 customers who saw their internet and cable go out late Monday morning. Residents of Rock Hill began to notice the outage after city of Rock Hill employees accidentally cut a main fiber optic line during sewer repair. The line was completely severed along Oakland Ave (across from Legal Remedy). According to Comporium COO, Matt Dosch, the cut was catastrophic. Most customers had their internet and cable restored by 11p on Monday night, with the remainder getting service back throughout the early morning hours.
