Those looking to give back this season have the chance to donate gifts to children in need around York County. WRHI’s Toys for Happiness along with the Herald’s empty stocking fund are part of the United Way Holiday partners program, which provides gifts to those who would not otherwise have them on Christmas morning.
The 2018 application period has ended, but volunteers and gifts are still being welcomed. Unwrapped new toys can be dropped off at United Way of York County on Northpark Drive or at WRHI’s broadcast headquarters in Downtown Rock Hill.
Over 800 families have applied for help this holiday season. Last year over 700 families and 1,800 children were served by over 300 volunteers.
