South Pointe Junior football star Derion Kendrick now has the title of the Charlotte area’s best High School Football player after winning the coveted Big 22 award. The honor is annually given out by our news partner, Channel 9 news in Charlotte. Kendrick who has been a starter for the Stallions since late in his freshman season is having a dynamic year as the team’s quarterback. Kendrick also returns kicks and is playing safety on the defensive side of the ball. DK, as he is called, has already accepted an opportunity to play in a national All-American game and is one of the top rated recruits in the class of 2018.
