Northwestern High School Principal, James Blake, will retired at the end of the school year. Blake, who has been at the school for 34 years, began his career as a teacher and coach. Blake continued to move up at the school becoming an assistant principal and eventually took over as principal in 2002. The Rock Hill School District tweeted out a “Thank You” to Blake, who responded by saying “Forever A Trojan”. Blake will continue in the role until June 30th. He becomes the 2nd Rock Hill area high school principal to retire this year as South Pointe’s Dr. Al Leonard will also end his career next month.
