York County Council tabled a discussion last night to extend the Urban Services Boundary (USB) to make room for an extension and more commercial property along Dave Lyle Boulevard.
Many citizens spoke against the new proposal in support of Council sticking to the plan it unanimously passed back in 2012.
The 2012 plan would wait to extend the boundary until funding is available where as the new proposal would open up the land in an attempt to bring business to the extension to pay for it.
Many of the Council Members including Michael Johnson were confused as to the difference between the old and new plan.
Councilwoman Christi Cox moved to table the event to the next meeting on November 7th where the proposal will be given more context and discussed in detail.
