The Rock Hill School District had an executive work session Monday night and discussed new options regarding the debt owed to the school district by the Catawba Indian Nation.
Mychal Frost Director of Communications for the Rock Hill School District said some of those options could include litigation, seeking the lands or additional discussion related to a proposal from the nation that would forgive the debt over another ten year period.
In 2008 the city made a deal with the Catawba Indian Nation to resolve the land debt issue over a 10 year period.
The new options will be discussed at the school board meeting on October 24th.
