Winthrop’s Courtyard residency was evacuated earlier this morning after a water line burst between two floors causing water damage. According to an email sent out by the school Remediation and Documentation specialists are working to remove water, assess initial damage and make recommendations on the best course of action.
The water damage temporarily displaced students who live on those floors while the University expects to be able to accommodate all of the students affected. The students are safe and their belongings are secure.
